The resurgence of the Black Lives Matter protests after the death of George Floyd last summer led to video clips of her early interviews being shared countless times over social media, with her quote ‘It is not enough to be non-racist, we must be anti-racist’ becoming the unofficial tagline of the movement. Her name is referenced and lauded in all fields of activism and socialist circles.
